Ava Persaud-Soares is a saxophone player from Winnipeg Manitoba. Growing up she knew her passion was music, and learned how to play piano, saxophone and drums at a very young age. Now, she is pursuing a jazz degree at the University of Manitoba, under the mentorship of Jon Gordon. When outside of school, she plays shows with various local bands.

Although Ava specializes in jazz, she loves all genres, and would be excited to teach them. She is open to teach any student at any skill level, whether it’s  learning how to make a sound or improvise. Ava hopes to inspire and encourage students through her own knowledge and love for music!
